Scott Albert is an industry leader in the emerging discipline of multi-platform production. He conceived and wrote all 13 webisodes for Monster Buster Club. Working with Christopher Guest, he created the short animated cartoon series, “The Retired Producer’s Guide To…” They followed this success with the internet hit, “Tights and Fights,” a multi-platform comedyseries about super heroes, currently in its second season. Their most recent series is the 12 part comedy series, “Team Leader.”
Scott got his start in Ottawa with the comedy show “In Your Face!!” He was a founding member of the sketch comedy troupe “The pez Family.” Since moving to Toronto, Scott has established himself as a passionate and talented writer and producer. He was accepted to the Canadian Film Center’s prestigious Prime Time Television Programme in 2002. In the same year he was a CTV Banff Fellow. With John McFetridge, he wrote a feature “Hunt for the Devil” and an award nominated novel, “Below the Line.” He produced the short film “White Candle, Red Water” which was nominated for Best Experimental Short. He was privileged to write for the final season of the long running Red Green Show. Since 2006, he has written for numerous Canadian and international cartoons, including Breakthrough’s Captain Flamingo, Cookie Jar’s Gerald McBoing Boing and Marathon’s Monster Buster Club. He has worked as a creative consultant and punch up writer on broadcast series.
He most recently worked as the Executive Story Editor on Mickey, a pre-school series for The Pet Network. He can be found writing and performing the super villain Evil Trojan Borscht in the second season of Tights and Fights.
